Description David Firth 2015-08-26 13:20:17 UTC
Current (R 3.2.2 release) documentation for "glm" states that the "method" component in the resulting object is as follows:

method: the name of the fitter function used, currently always ‘"glm.fit"’

But this seems to be incorrect. For example:

glm.fit2 <- glm.fit
glm(1:4 ~ rnorm(4), method = "glm.fit2") $ method

results in

  [1] "glm.fit2"
