Description Sam Steingold 2013-07-10 17:24:50 UTC
size printing would be more easier to read if the units defaulted to "auto"
Comment 1 Brian Ripley 2013-07-15 09:53:48 UTC
It 'should' work as documented.

Wishlist requests *should* be marked as such: see the FAQ.
Comment 2 Sam Steingold 2013-07-15 13:19:48 UTC
it *does* work as documented.
however, the documented behavior can be improved by using a better default.
Comment 3 Brian Ripley 2013-09-10 10:37:06 UTC
Not back-compatible.
Comment 4 Sam Steingold 2013-09-10 15:41:44 UTC
it is not obvious that backwards compatibility in pretty printing is really necessary.
however, if it you insist on backwards compatibility, you can add a user option for the default units.
