Description zeigi 2010-04-12 18:36:27 UTC
It is not clear whether this is rather a question but the following is troubling with package-skeleton:

Using the function package.skeleton on the current environment in R 2.6.2 that contains a function "[.abc" creates an R file "z[.abc.R"; Subsequently, installing this package from source is straightforward and properly uses the function "[.abc"

In contrast, under R 2.10.1, package.skelton() creates the corresponding .R file "[.abc" (without the leading z). Installing this package from source gives troubles, unless the file is renamed to "z[.abc".

If there is a particular reason for this change over versions, please highlieght this in the manuals...

This happened when all the filenames are invalid (and perhaps elsewhere).

But is there a reason why this has changed with version 2.10?
